Camp Drum

Camp Drum is a one-week day camp that combines group percussion instruction with summer camp activities to create a unique educational experience for the 5^th to 8^th grade (entering high school) percussionist. This ground-breaking approach to percussion education will feature interactive master classes by some of the area’s finest percussion educators as they discuss and provide demonstrations on such topics as drum set, snare drum, keyboard percussion, hand drumming, marching percussion, cymbals and timpani in an outdoor setting.

The truly unique aspect of Camp Drum, as opposed to the traditional “classroom” approach, is the offering of such outdoor camp activities as canoeing, fishing, orienteering, camping skills, horseback riding and outdoor games, which provides an opportunity for students to interact with others in a broad-based learning experience.
