Frequently Asked Questions What is covered by the $320.00 fee? The membership fee of $320.00 pays for instruction, literature, equipment, insurance and facilities. An additional $10.00 audition fee is due at the time of auditions. How do the Jump Start ensembles travel? In the interest of avoiding costly insurance fees, members and staff of the Jump Start percussion ensembles will be required to provide their own transportation to and from any scheduled event. Instruments and other equipment are transported by truck. What would happen in the case of a medical emergency? Medical profiles will be kept on file for each member as well as the location of the nearest medical facility. Should a medical emergency arise, an adult would provide transportation for treatment. Where will the Jump Start ensembles be performing?
The Spring 2008 session will conclude with a "Day of Percussion". The schedule for the day will include opportunities for each ensemble to rehearse with a guest clinician, attend a percussion workshop, and perform in a concert setting. Opportunities for solos, duets, and trios may also be available. |
