Absence policy
Should a school and grade related conflict arise that a student wishes to attend, Jump Start shall yield 
to the school commitment.
 
Unexcused absence policy
Unexcused absences are detrimental to the success of the Jump Start program and are therefore viewed 
as unacceptable. Should a member become aware of a scheduling conflict that will result in absence from 
a scheduled Jump Start activity, written notice must be provided to the director as soon as possible. 
Continued membership of any individual following an unexcused absence is at the discretion of the director.
 
Alcohol and tobacco policy
Jump Start prohibits the use of alcoholic beverages, controlled substances and tobacco at any activity 
involving the participation of its members. All Jump Start activities shall be conducted on a smoke-free 
basis, with smoking areas located away from all participating members. Any individual found to be in 
violation of the above policy shall have their membership terminated.
 
Payment policy
All fees paid to Jump Start are non-refundable. A payment of $320.00, which covers instuction, literature, 
equipment, insurance and facilities, will be expected in full at the first rehearsal unless prior arrangements 
have been made with Jeff Hoke, Executive Director.
