Jeff Hoke, Director
As an instructor,
Jeff Hoke has
achieved success at local, state, regional,
national and international levels in
marching band, drum corps and indoor percussion. He also serves as an
adjudicator in the pageantry arts and in grade school solo and ensemble
competitions. He instructs more than fifty private students each week and
conducts percussion master classes and workshops throughout the Midwest.
Mr. Hoke has
arranged for both the indoor and outdoor marching percussion ensemble, composed
solo and ensemble literature for a variety of percussion instruments, and
authored two books on rudimental snare drumming. Articles

Mr. Hoke is the founder
and director of L.e.a.P. organization, which offers a variety of educational
and performance opportunities for percussionists in the
Chicago metropolitan area.

Jeff Gentry, Visual Designer
The
2009 season marks Jeff's 24th
year of teaching and
designing for all levels of the visual arts activity. Jeff has designed for
marching bands, color guards, indoor drum lines
and drum corps in eleven states
and two provinces of Canada. His
visual
designs have been awarded
6 Indiana Percussion
Association state championships, marching
band state
championships in three states,
over
170 caption awards, and
back-to-back
WGI
World Class Championships.
Laith Hodi, Batterie
Technician - Bass Line
Laith
has served as batterie caption head for the two time
WGI Percussion Independent A World Champion
L.e.a.P. organization since its inception. Additionally, Laith has served as
Percussion Caption Head for Drum Corps
International competitor Mirage Drum & Bugle Corps. At the high
school level, Laith has instructed competitive marching programs across
Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. His marching experience includes the Coachmen
Drum & Bugle Corps and the prestigious Illinois State University Marching
Band. Laith
has a bachelors degree in business and is an owner of an
international export house.
Nick Kettman, Batterie Technician

After marching with perennial Drum Corps
International
top 12 finalist Glassmen
Drum & Bugle Corps, Nick went on to
serve as instructor for the
Northern Illinois University drumline, the Kilties
Drum & Bugle Corps and 2000 Drum Corps
International
bronze medalist Cincinnati Glory Drum & Bugle Corps. Nick has a Master
of Science degree in engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and
currently works as an audio engineer for Shure.

Jon Berg,
Batterie Technician - Cymbal Line
Jon is a veteran of the Emerald Knights
Drum & Bugle Corps and the Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps, where he won awards for outstanding leadership and
outstanding battery percussionist, respectively. After receiving a bachelors
degree in liberal studies from Iowa State University, Jon went on to
instruct for competitive high school programs in Iowa and Illinois.
John Donovan, Batterie Technician
The newest addition to the Evolution instructional staff, John has
served as the percussion caption head for local high schools and drum corps
since 2006. In his role as caption head, John worked with the visual and
music program and assisted with recruitment and fundraising.

Gina
DeGregorio, Pit Technician
A graduate of VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Gina is currently a
band director at Deer
Path Middle School in Lake Forest. In addition to
her marching experience as a former member
of the Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps, Gina
brings to Evolution first-hand knowledge of theatrical
productions and experience
as a percussion instructor at Hersey High School. |

Josh
Wilson, Consultant
Josh is an experienced pianist and percussionist who has played with
Northern Illinois
University's steel band and percussion ensembles as well as
the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps, I-2, and
North Coast Academy. A current member of both the Chicago Bears
drumline and Stampede, the premiere drumline for the Chicago Bulls, Josh
also serves as the director of the
Northern Illinois University
drumline and the Marching Griffins drumline from Lincoln-Way East High
School.
